It's THAT time again...RENEWAL time. Every couple years we have to make sure all our C.H.E.K Institute-trained professionals are staying current, and this year is no different, well, except that we have added more benefits and made the process easier! Why does the C.H.E.K Institute have a renewal program?
The purpose of the C.H.E.K Institute renewal program is to ensure recognized C.H.E.K Institute-trained Professionals demonstrate a commitment to expand their knowledge and enhance their professional competency. For this reason, recognized C.H.E.K Institute-trained Professionals are required to renew their Advanced Training every 2-years.
How easy is it to renew your Advanced Training with the C.H.E.K Institute?
It is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
1* – You must earn 50 Professional Development Credits to meet the continuing education requirements for renewal. If you took your first CHEK Advanced Training Program after October 1, 2008, you only need 25 credits.
2 – You must have current CPR and Liability Insurance. These requirements are mandatory for all C.H.E.K Institute-trained Professionals unless you’re unable to obtain these requisites in your home country.
3* – Complete and submit your C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional Renewal Application and pay the Renewal Fee…

How do you renew?
The C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional Renewal Application Form may be completed online for a fee of $115.00 USD or a hard copy may be submitted to the C.H.E.K Institute Education Department for a fee of $135.00 USD.
When is your C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional Renewal Application due?
Your C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional Renewal Application is due on Wednesday December 15, 2010 by 5:00pm PST. You may begin submitting renewal applications on June 1, 2010. This should be plenty of time to organize and submit your application…Don’t Be Late!

What happens if I fail to renew my Advanced Training with the C.H.E.K Institute?
If you do not go through with your Renewal you will not gain access to any of the benefits previously mentioned and you’ll be required to proceed through the C.H.E.K Institute Late Renewal Program to restore your standing as a C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional.
***Just a quick NOTE: If you failed to renew in 2008 or if you fail to renew your Advanced Training with the C.H.E.K Institute in 2010 you may proceed through our Late Renewal Program. With the Late Renewal Program you have two options to restore your standing as a C.H.E.K Institute-Trained Professional:
1 – Re-take the highest C.H.E.K Institute Advanced Training Program completed at 50% the cost of tuition.
OR
2 – Take a late Renewal Exam for each Advanced Training Program previously completed, at a cost of $230.00 USD, and pass each exam with a grade of 80% or higher. If you fail your exam(s) through the late renewal program, each retake cycle will cost $230.00 USD.
If you are Not Current you will need to complete and pass a Renewal Exam for the C.H.E.K Institute Advanced Training Program(s) completed. As outlined in Step 1 of this process, the C.H.E.K Institute offers 3 areas of study: the C.H.E.K Practitioner Program, the CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Program and CHEK Specialty Programs. The highest level completed in each area will determine the Renewal Exam(s) needed.
Renewal Exams must be completed online through Desert Southwest Fitness. Information on how to complete the Renewal Exams will be sent to you, via e-mail, within 7 business days of the “Not Current Online Renewal Form” being completed and the payment being processed by the C.H.E.K Institute.
