What is a CHEK Exercise Coach?
CHEK Exercise Coaches are trained in functional exercise, personalization of program design and correct application of exercise. They have completed the course pre-requisites, attended a 5-day course and passed the Exercise Coach exam. CHEK Exercise Coaches come from a variety of different fitness and health backgrounds, with the majority currently working as a fitness professional, strength coach or athletic trainer.

What is a C.H.E.K Practitioner?
C.H.E.K Practitioners are specialists in Corrective Exercise and High-performance Kinesiology. They are trained in assessment techniques and individualized application of exercise and exercise programs. The higher the level completed, the more practical knowledge and experience they will have, particularly in complex orthopedic conditions. C.H.E.K Practitioners have completed the CHEK Exercise Coach program and one or more levels of the C.H.E.K Certification program, including all the required pre-requisites for that level. A certified C.H.E.K Practitioner has completed all four levels, plus passed a rigorous battery of exams, written a thesis and shown excellence in live presentations. C.H.E.K Practitioners come from a varied background including fitness professionals, strength and conditioning coaches, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, podiatrists, athletic trainers and so on.

What is a CHEK HLC?
CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coaches are specialists in wellness, stress management and lifestyle coaching. They have completed one or more levels of the CHEK HLC program, including all the required pre-requisites for that level. The higher the level completed, the more practical knowledge and experience they will have. CHEK HLCs come from a highly varied background including fitness professionals, healthcare professionals, nutritionists, dieticians and so on. Due to this varied mix of professional backgrounds, the actual services offered by HLCs vary depending on the permitted scope of practice of their professional license or degree in their particular state or country.
