A committed triathlete, Janet Alexander draws her experience from a varied career base, including teaching, sales and marketing and owning an advertising/design agency. As the co-owner of Elite Performance in Auckland, New Zealand, she successfully worked with clients requiring sports and orthopedic rehabilitation who had previously failed in traditional medical practices. Janet is now one of the C.H.E.K practitioners at the C.H.E.K Institute in California and has taught with Paul since 1997. |
| Suzi Nevell |

Registered as a New Zealand Physical Therapist, Suzi has worked in the fields of sports and spinal physiotherapy for over 11 years. She has toured with a variety of internationally competitive athletes and teams to competitions around the world. She herself competed internationally and was the New Zealand Woman's Trampoline Champion. After completing a post-graduate diploma in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, she worked with one of New Zealand's leading physiotherapists until 1993 when she moved to New York City and spent 5 years working with an orthopedic surgeon for the US Tennis Association. Now Suzi alternates between the US and New Zealand, with a successful practice in Auckland as well as seeing clients and teaching courses in the States. |

Dr. Oliver has been involved in complimentary, holistic medicine since 1972, working with nutritional and structural therapies for the last 24 years. Drawing on his formal education as a registered nurse and doctor of chiropractics as well as years of personal study on nutrition, holistic medicine and spirituality, Dr. Oliver has developed a unique and powerful ability to help his clients to overcome their health issues. Currently in private practice, he has treated thousands of patients with major health issues ranging from acute to chronic care. He has worked with both professional and amateur athletes, assisting in the facilitation of improved performance.
Dr. Oliver has also been working actively to shape the nature of medicine in this country for over twenty years, presenting at conferences and institutions such as the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California at San Diego Medical School, The Scripps Research Institute, San Diego State University, The Holistic Nurses Association, and the Fitness Trainers Association. He is the co-creator of the C.H.E.K Institute's Optimal Health and Fitness Through Practical Nutrition and Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Program (HLC) and remains one of the lead instructors. His knowledge has resulted in an integrated holistic model of mind, body and spirit that characterize the core of all of the HLC Program.

An enthusiastic and exciting presenter, Mark has extensive clinical and practical experience including heading the corrective exercise program in a successful hospital-based musculo-skeletal rehabilitation program in Wellington NZ. He is also a member of the PPC Medical Advisory Board in Tokyo, Japan, co-Owner of the Olympic Gym in Dunedin, NZ and conditioning consultant to some of New Zealand's leading Rugby players. |

Emma Lane is a CHEK Faculty member and has been active in the health and fitness industry for over 14 years, she has worked at many different levels with in the industry from personal training, rehab and management. A well known practitioner and presenter in the UK, she also runs Energize Mind / Body a busy training and consulting business in London and the north of England specialising in nutrition and lifestyle coaching. She has developed an understanding and flair for dealing with fungal and parasitical problems which occur frequently in today’s environment. Emma is known for her friendly, practical and innovative approach. |
| Dan Kalish |

Dr. Daniel Kalish specializes in designing natural treatment programs for a wide range of health issues. Treating patients since 1993, Dr. Kalish has been motivated by observing the dramatic improvements occurring in the health of patients who implement simple diet and lifestyle changes along with lab-based nutritional supplement programs. He received his B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy and is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West. Among other training, he completed four years of postgraduate internships in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Dr. Kalish also spent two years in formal monastic training at a Zen monastery in Japan and at a Buddhist monastery in Thailand. He is the founder of The Natural Path Clinic in Del Mar, California, a consultant on behalf of BioHealth Diagnostics Laboratory and author of Your Guide to Healthy Hormones. |

Karen Redmond is C.H.E.K certified and serves on the C.H.E.K Faculty. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree of Science in Health and Fitness Promotion from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Karen began the studying with Paul Chek in 1998 and has over 10 years of experience in the field.
She is president and owner of North Shore Smart Bodies, a corrective exercise clinic in Northbrook, Illinois. She is author of the Pre/Post Natal Training Guide. Karen specializes in pre/post natal training, golf and sports conditioning and orthopedic injuries. Karen recently completed her thesis: Exercising During Pregnancy as a requirement for the C.H.E.K certification program. Her philosophy is to treat the body as a whole through corrective exercise, holistic health and nutrition. |

Jon holds an Honours degree in Sport and Exercise from Leeds Metropolitan University. During his time in Leeds he also became double certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise and the Fellowship of Sports Masseurs and Therapists. He began his work in the in fitness industry developing and implemented a personal training program for Leeds City LivingWell. His main area of specality at this time was strength and conditioning training for rugby union and his final year Thesis was a study and examination of the challenges and strategies which were required to prepare an International player for the Five Nations Tournament of 1996.
Following his time at Leeds he moved to London where he joined the Personal training Team at the Chelsea Harbour Club. During this time Jon was also appointed Fitness Editor of Men's Health magazine a post which he held for three years from 1998 - 2001 during which time it was awarded Magazine of the Year (2000).
For the past 4 years he has worked as part of a multidisciplinary neurosurgical team at the London Spine Clinic, specialising in the Holistic treatment of spinal pain. He now consults at The London Clinic in Harley Street, and Catalyst Health at The Princess Grace Hospital. His current areas of speciality include the multidisciplinary treatment of lumbar spondylolisthesis, and performance conditioning and rehabilitation of golfers.

Mark is a member of the teaching faculty for the C.H.E.K Institute and a C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 4. He is co-owner of North Shore Smart Bodies, a corrective exercise and personal training facility located in Northbrook, IL. Mark served as a Nike Training Athlete and instructor for 7 years teaching courses in exercise program design, functional strength training, and athletic performance. He has co-produced two series of educational videotapes and manuals on functional strength training, and the biomechanics of weight training. In addition, he has co-authored several personal training manuals on strength training, program design, and rehabilitative fitness. |
| Matthew Wallden |

Matthew Wallden originally qualified as an osteopath & naturopath in London. Later, while working clinically and lecturing on osteopathic technique, he completed a post-graduate Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine before embarking on the CHEK certification program. He has consulted for various top sports teams including Chelsea Football Club, Charlton Athletic Football Club and Surrey County Cricket Club. As a corrective exercise specialist, Matthew has lectured at four major UK osteopathic colleges and on many post-graduate courses for medical, rehabilitation and fitness professionals. Matthew has spoken at many international conferences, runs various professional forums and has written a number of peer-reviewed articles. He is currently involved in several book publications, including his upcoming book "The Hamstring Syndrome", and sits on the advisory board of the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies.
Matthew's work is his passion, he loves to help people to better health through coaching and treating patients, and teaching other practitioners. Matthew is proud to be a member of faculty at the C.H.E.K Institute; the work of whom has fully embraced and epitomised the ideals Matthew has always strived towards. |

JP Sears runs his client consulting practice from the C.H.E.K Institute in California. He has a reputation for his keen insight into the effects of stress on wellbeing and his ability to help clients manage those stresses. JP writes for several print and web publications including P.T. on the Net and has presented a number of workshops and lectures on the topics of nutrition and wellbeing to both health professionals and lay-people. JP teaches HLC Level 1 courses.

Josh Rubin is the owner and founder of EastWest Healing and Performance, author, speaker, and consultant. For the past 9 years, Josh has been coaching clients using many cutting edge corrective exercise/rehabilitation techniques, holistic nutrition and lifestyle coaching, as well as the incorporation of functional lab testing. Being very passionate about his legacy, Josh has treated and educated hundreds of clients lives, as well as students. Josh’s heartfelt, compassionate and energetic approach has led many people towards a life full of vitality and freedom from pain. Using many Eastern and Western Approaches, Josh’s goal is not to tell his clients how to do anything. Josh strives to educate his clients on how to help themselves by creating an empathetic platform during his 1:1 sessions. Josh’s passion to learn, understand and grow oneself is reflected in his desire to learn, grow and understand his clientele. |

Dan is a registered physical therapist and owns Dan Hellman Holistic Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dan’s physical therapy degree comes from an osteopathic-based college, which included both traditional and manual physical therapy. Before opening his own business he worked in several outpatient physical therapy orthopedic centers specializing in sports medicine and spine rehabilitation. Dan had his thesis published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in January of 1999 titled “The Effects of Anterior Thigh Stretching on he Straight Leg Raise Measurement.”
Dan is an avid golfer and works with many golf clients from professionals to amateurs as well as designing individualized health and fitness programs for all types of individuals. During the PPS program, Dan learned that his legacy was to teach heath and fitness to others. He is most proud of his position as a CHEK faculty member and has a true passion for teaching.
When not living his legacy in the classroom or treating clients in his beautiful studio, Dan loves to golf, travel and spend quiet time reading books on spirituality. |

Robert is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara with a Biopsychology and Exercise Health Science degree. He is licensed by the American Health Science University as a Certified Nutritionist. He is a CHEK Level 4 and a HLC 2 practitioner. Robert also holds a Level 1 coach's certification in Olympic style weight lifting from the United States Weight Lifting Federation (USWF). As an athlete, husband and father Robert understands the needs of his clients and strives to stay on the cutting edge of training, supplementation, nutrition, rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Robert is continually traveling, researching and studying the best methods to help individuals achieve their ultimate goal.

Tristan Loo

| Tristan competed as a scholarship NCAA scholarship gymnast for UCSB, leading the UCSB team to win the USA National Collegiate Championship title for two consecutive years. After graduating with a B.A. in Legal Studies and a B.S. in Psychology, Tristan went on to attend the California Law Enforcement Training Center where he obtained his P.O.S.T. certification and thereafter served a five-year tour of duty as a police officer, specializing in crisis intervention. His ongoing passion for fitness, health, and personal development brought him to the C.H.E.K Institute where he currently serves as the Operations Manager, while pursuing a doctoral degree in performance psychology. Tristan holds certifications in conflict management, crisis negotiations, and civil mediation. Tristan is the author of, Street Negotiation--How To Resolve Any Conflict Anytime, Living Your Purpose—Discover Your Path to Everlasting Success, as well as the Founder and Publisher of Self Improvement Magazine. |

| Joling's affinity for art began in her early childhood and continues through today. Ms. Lee has created professional illustrative art for more than twelve years and has enhanced her computer graphic skills by attending advanced courses at Palomar College. Joling graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz receiving her B.A. with a major in East Asian Studies. After gaining even further hands on experience working in an art store, Joling joined the C.H.E.K Institute and has been developing illustrations for each new endeavor. |
John O'Brien BS

| A native Kansan, John was a collegiate student athlete with the Kansas State University Football Program as a Defensive Back from 1994-1995. As a Wildcat, he had the pleasure of participating in the 1994 Jeep/Eagle Aloha Bowl and the 1995 Plymouth Holiday Bowl. In 1996, John was a student assistant coach during the spring football season with the PowerCat Strength and Conditioning Program. Before leaving Kansas State University, John earned a BS in both Kinesiology and Psychology. Shortly after leaving Manhattan, KS., he moved to San Diego where he was recently the Athletic Supervisor for the highly anticipated Kroc Center; directing their Fitness Center, Group Exercise Classes, Adult and Youth Sport Programs. In his free time John enjoys following U.S. politics, engaging in outdoor activities, participating in sports and, of course, watching football. |

| Ruth received her Bachelor’s Degree from Humboldt State University in the field of Botany. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our Education Department with her experience as a former art director and school teacher. Ruth is an avid runner and has participated in numerous marathons, including the Camp Pendleton Mud Run. Ruth's next goal is to climb Mount Whitney. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys quilting, teaching quilting classes, and volunteering for the Rolling Reader Program. |

| Christy has a love for learning and is passionate about nutrition and fitness. Growing up in Southern California has allowed her to enjoy outdoor recreation of all kind. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, Christy fell in love with traveling the world with her husband and college sweetheart while continuing to broaden her professional career. She comes to the C.H.E.K Institute as a veteran of customer service with a background in graphic design as well as being a former personal chef. In her spare time, Christy enjoys competing in locally held races and playing with her nieces and nephews. |

| Lynne has now been with the C.H.E.K Institute for several years now. She continues to work in Customer Service, and has recently been appointed the Institute's Professional Development Advisor. She assists new and continuing students with inquiries about the programs and helps guide them through the required process of our Education Department. Her personal studies now include Homeopathy, Bach Flowers and Reiki. These all make a great combination to mix in with the CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coaching practices. |

| Ninette comes to the C.H.E.K Institute with a diverse range of skills. She has twelve years of experience in the accounting industry and has also been actively involved in holistic health for the past fifteen years. Ninette is currently attending the Body Mind College of San Diego and has completed the Massage Therapist Program. She is currently pursuing her certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner. |

| Originally from a small town in Northern California, Maisie received her Bachelor’s degree in Literature from UC Santa Cruz and subsequently took the opportunity to live and work in London for a period of six months as an events coordinator. During her stay in London, she traveled throughout Europe where she discovered her passion for international travel. Maisie moved to San Diego shortly after returning to the United States and fell in love with it right away. Maisie’s enthusiasm for nutrition and fitness led her to the C.H.E.K Institute where she serves as our customer service representative and front desk attendee. In her free time, Maisie enjoys reading, going to the beach and hiking. |

| Originally from New York, Derek has recently joined our team after moving to southern California from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Throughout his career, Derek has managed to enjoy an array of different experiences through his love for travel, sport, music, friends and family. Derek earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York College at Brockport in International Marketing and is thrilled to be apart of the C.H.E.K Institute team. In his free time, Derek enjoys staying busy by working out, hanging out with his puppy, surfing and generally likes being with those most important to him. |
